Frequently Asked Questions
We’ve gathered answers to the most common ones about visits, shipping, payments, and more.
Both British Shorthair and Longhair share a similar temperament: calm, affectionate, and family friendly. Longhair cats require a bit more grooming but are otherwise similar in personality. They tend to be sturdy, moderately active, and enjoy human company without being overly demanding.
All cats naturally shed to some extent. While British Shorthair and Longhair breeds are not hypoallergenic, many people with mild sensitivities can live comfortably with them, especially with regular grooming and proper care. Allergic reactions are usually caused by proteins in the cat’s saliva, not the fur itself. Some diets or allergy management plans can reduce skin irritation and dander for some cats, but no food reliably makes a cat hypoallergenic.
We strongly recommend that you and your family ensure you do not have severe allergies before bringing a kitten home. This helps make sure your kitten has a happy, permanent home and prevents any difficulties later on.
You can reserve a kitten as soon as it is listed as available in our Available Kittens section. We keep this section up to date so you always know which kittens are ready for reservation. To secure your kitten, a deposit and a signed contract are required. This ensures that your chosen kitten is officially reserved for you and allows us to provide personalized guidance throughout the adoption process.
Kittens normally go home around 16 weeks, after completing their full core vaccine series and spay/neuter surgery. For those who wish to bring their kitten home earlier (from around 11 weeks), we offer flexible package options. In these cases, the owner will be responsible for completing the remaining vaccinations and the spay/neuter procedure. A neuter/spay deposit is required for early pickup, which will be fully refunded once proof of surgery is provided within the agreed timeframe (generally by 8–10 months of age).
Yes, visits are possible, but only for serious buyers and by appointment. Our cattery is run from our home, and since we always have newborn kittens with developing immune systems, we cannot open our space to the public. For their safety, visits take place only in a designated reception area where you can meet the kitten(s) you are interested in.
Once your appointment is confirmed, we’ll send you a detailed set of visit guidelines to make the experience comfortable for both you and the kittens.
Our all-inclusive package covers: full first-year core vaccinations (FVRCP & rabies), spay/neuter, scheduled deworming, multiple veterinary health checks, 30 days complimentary Trupanion pet insurance (Canada & USA), TICA breeder’s slip, a Welcome Home Kit, and early socialization/handling. Prices reflect the care, testing, and time invested in each kitten. Check each kitten page for more details.
We accept cash, e-transfer, Wechat, and Alipay. All quoted prices shown on our site include taxes unless stated otherwise.
A deposit secures the kitten; deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable if the buyer cancels for personal reasons. This policy allows us to plan veterinary care and socialization.

At the cattery we feed Royal Canin Mother & Babycat (dry) as the primary diet, with matching wet food and ZIWI chicken wet food for kittens under 4 months. We also offer freeze-dried food as a topper, some of the brands we use include Northwest Naturals, Bixbi Rawbble and Instinct. We recommend keeping the same food for at least the first 2 weeks at home and then slowly transitioning if you change brands. More feeding details are in the Kitten Care Guide.
Yes, we participate in cat shows from time to time. It helps us stay connected with other breeders, stay current with breed standards, and ensure our cats continue to meet conformation and health expectations.
